GUMTREES COTTAGE ROSS TASMANIA

Modern, new, large, fully self contained holiday cottage in the heritage area of the olde world village of Ross. Peaceful, quiet & extremely comfortable but still in the middle of the tourist high street. Continental breakfast provisions are included. Extremely quiet and comfortable affordable accommodation with everything you need for an overnight stay - just bring yourselves. Previous guests have commented that it's just like a home away from home.

SECURE OFF ROAD UNDER COVER PARKING IS A BIG PLUS

Or why not stay longer than overnight and make Ross a jumping off point to explore all of Tasmania. Ross is situated on the Midlands Highway and is almost halfway between Launceston and Hobart. The east coast beaches are also convenient for a day trip. The cottage is in a private and peaceful setting as it is situated just around the corner from the main street.

As Ross is off the main Midland Highway the only things to disturb your sleep will be the birds in the morning Locality There are only glimpses of Ross to be seen from the busy Midlands Highway, the major north/south route in Tasmania.

Those who make the detour to visit Ross will be rewarded with its rich heritage and charming village atmosphere. Ross is prized as a tranquil haven from the daily grind. It's a magical place to break your journey or to stay a few days. Stroll the quiet streets, past beautiful sandstone buildings, as the sun filters through the magnificent elms. Absorb the history and take time out to have a coffee or traditional fare from the town's eateries. We hope you can take the time to explore our village. (Taken from Ross Visitor Information Guide)

Gumtrees Cottage is situated in a pleasant garden in the back section of our property but is a completely separate entity and is very private and quiet. It's been called a home away from home by previous visitors. The Cottage is a large one queen bedroom unit with separate bathroom and separate toilet. It has full washing facilities - wash tub, washer & dryer. There is a combined living, dining room and a fully operational kitchen. The unit is large enough for permanent living. A great alternative to motel rooms and at a lesser price per night for a couple.

The Cottage is a new building and very convenient for strolling along the main street of Ross to enjoy the atmosphere of this lovely village. The Heritage Man O Ross Hotel is within a short walk and their meals are first class.
