Station Lodge, a 1906 historical villa is
located in the beautiful alpine town of Ohakune
adjacent to the world renowned Tongariro National
Park.
A place for all seasons; the lodge
is warm and inviting and its close proximity to
spectacular walks including the Tongariro Alpine
Crossing (Best Day Walk in New Zealand) ski fields,
(Turoa 20 minutes and Whakapapa 40 minutes) and the
mighty Whanganui River.
The Station Lodge has been
lovingly restored yet retains its unique and
historical character. With the addition of modern
facilities it is the perfect location for an
overnight stop, or while not spend a few days
explore the area.
We offer a selection of
accommodation types, to suit all budgets, from the
lodge with private rooms and shared facilities, to
private 2 bedroom luxury apartments with their own
private spa pool, what better way to relax after a
long day on the bike.
Large off street carpark
available, otherwise we can lock your bikes up. Your
friendly hosts Darren and Jane can organize
transport to and from Station Lodge - whether it’s
to the Tongariro crossing, Ruapehu, the famous
Whanganui River trip, or a scenic tour of Ohakune.
Mountain bike hire (to explore the tracks) is
available directly from the Lodge.
