Spylaw Bank House is an elegant listed Georgian house in the village of Colinton, 3 miles south west of Edinburgh city centre. The house enjoys a secluded position in its own walled garden up a private drive.

There are three double bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom with bath and/or shower, cable televisions and DVDs. Whilst the facilities are modern, many of the original features have been retained.

I have the Scottish Tourist Board Excellent Quality Award of Four Stars.

You can relax in the original drawing room with open fire and views of the lovely gardens. Breakfast is taken in the spacious dining room with its period features.

Spylaw Bank House is ideally situated as a base for sightseeing in the City as well as touring Scotland. I am only minutes from the City Bypass and motorways and for exploring Edinburgh, guests could leave their bikes in the private parking area within the grounds and take the excellent bus service in the centre (a 15 minute journey).

Bikes can be parked in front of the house (out of sight from the road), in a covered area or garaged and trailers can also be accommodated in the yard.

Edinburgh is an ideal base for discovering Scotland, its history and scenery. The Borders, Fife and St. Andrews, Glasgow, the West Coast and the Highlands are within a day's drive.There are also plenty of good eating places locally and in Edinburgh.

The Hall Pillars house was originally built and owned by Crawford which were offices and a spirit store in the late 18th century. Most of the building still has a lot of its character left as you can see as you walk in through the main entrance. The courtyard where our free parking is situated was traditionally used as the delivery entrance where the horse and carts brought the whiskey from the highlands to be blended.

The house is homely but stylish with a touch of class. Our rooms are all refurbished to High Standard with coloured teletext television, fans, hair dryers and central heating.

All rooms are supplied with radio alarm clocks and hair dryers. We have a variety of rooms (doubles, twins, triples & family rooms), all have been recently refurbished in antique pine and are all ensuite

There is a private car park With CCTV. When you confirm please let us know if you require a parking space.

All rooms have safes, fans & fridges.

Additional Information
Car Park Breakfast is served in our large fitted modern Kitchen / DiningRoom were all our guests sit together at our large antique dinning table were you can catch up on who has been where. For Breakfast you can sit down to a Full Scottish Cooked or have a Continental. A utility Room is available with Iron Board and Iron.

23 Mayfield is a family run Victorian detached guest house situated one mile from Edinburgh City Centre. Within the 19th century exterior you will find quality cornicing and many more original features. The accommodation has all you need for a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, including wireless free internet and residents lounge where you may enjoy the ambience from our antique leather Chesterfields. Free secure residents parking available, all rooms ensuite , deluxe also available.
