Causies Cross Guest House is set in the heart of the
historic, picturesque village of Moniaive in upper Nithsdale
opposite the Mercat Cross.
Moniaive is the perfect base for a
motorcycling break with fantastic B roads leading through
stunning scenery to places of outstanding beauty. The best
bit....the roads are quiet! Once you’ve been you’ll keep
coming back as many bikers do.
Close by Causies Cross you can enjoy one
of the oldest pubs in Scotland and great food in the local
hotel and biker friendly famous Green Tea House....as well
as an amazing full Scottish breakfast included in the tarrif
at Causies Cross!
Moniaive was recently described as "one of
the coolest villages in Britain" in the Times newspaper and
you can join in any of the many village events including the
Folk Festival, Horse Show, Gala Day, Barn Dance, Flower
Show, Spring Fling and Comedy Festival...theres even a
bikers gathering and beer festival!
Causies Cross is run by Wendy and Derek
and has four new bedrooms - one with assisted ground floor
access. All have wall mounted TVs with DVD. We have a drying
room, offer laundry facilities, freezer space and can offer
picnic lunches and great hospitality as well as secure off
road parking and washing facilities for your pride and joy.
