Traditional 13th Century coaching inn. Full of old world
charm, we have open fires, beams and flag stone floors. All
rooms are ensuite with tea/coffee facilities and are all
very comfortable. Ideally situated only 3/4 mile from the A1
(Great North Road.)in rural S/W Lincolnshire.
Peace and quiet, in a village setting yet
great access to to the road network. An ideal stop off point
for the long journey north/south.
We are a great base for a long weekend to
visit the historic sites around. Stamford, Grantham, Oakham
and Melton Mowbray are all only 10 miles away. Issac Newton
was born two miles away! We also have our own brewery
producing two well known traditional real ales, they are
only available from the Blue Cow.
We serve food all day from 12.00 noon to
9.30pm. Main meals from 12.00 - 2.30pm and 6.00pm - 9.30pm.
Snacks through the afternoon. Our car park is private but
not lockable, it is very large and being in a village is
secure.
